How To Create Chromanteq
A step by step guide of how we make our most technical, fine jewellery collection (well, not all of the steps...we can't give away all of our secrets)
GEMSTONE SOURCING
The first step is one of the most important of all - sourcing gemstones that have been responsibly mined. This may involve us going out to the mine ourselves or reaching out to one of our trusted suppliers, all of whom agree to and follow our Code of Conduct. A transparent supply chain is key so it's imperative that we start on the right track.
Take a look at our SOURCING page to read more about the areas we source from and view photos from our field trips.

SKETCHING, TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATIONS AND CAD (COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN)
Once we have the stones, our designer, Susi Smither, gets straight to the drawing board. Here she hand renders designs based around the stones themselves. This insures a uniqueness for each piece as no setting will ever be replicated.

SCANNING AND 3D PRINTING
Using state of the art technology, our stones and designs are scanned, 3D printed and assembled. The colours of the nano ceramics we use to coat the metals are chosen and the pieces are completed.
