HotRocks takes to the catwalk at LFW

In a first for The Rock Hound, I am proud to share that pieces from my HotRocks Collection hit the catwalk during last month’s London Fashion Week

I was thrilled to have been asked to step in with HotRocks 100% recycled silver jewellery to adorn the Adonises of Los Angeles-based menswear designer Justin Cassin’s AW24 show at this London Fashion Week 2023, at the stylist’s request. Cassin, who was returning to LFW for the second time, reaffirmed his reputation for masterful modernist menswear silhouettes that transforms traditional masculine shapes into fearless and boundary-pushing bold expression – and to which my latest recycled silver collection played into beautifully.

Presenting his namesake brand’s Autumn/Winter 24 collection at The Vinyl Factory, Soho, Cassin reaffirms his reputation as a designer who is becoming masterful at constructing modernist menswear silhouettes. Cassin’s modus operandi revolves around a playful exploration of volume and structure that both references and challenges classic tailored shapes, all of which is beautifully complemented by the designer’s keen eye for innovative fabrications.

Chosen to accessories Cassin’s look the models wore HotRocks pieces left in naked silver. Taking the form of quartz wands, then replicated through the lost wax casting process these unisex pieces looked bold on the catwalk in both the wands and ear studs.

Cassin’s unique ability to transform timeless menswear silhouettes into something that pushes boundaries and is a conduit for bold individual expression comes to the fore in this new Fall collection. The emergence of subtle asymmetric lines underpins a sleek modern elegance throughout the tailored pieces, notable for their soft comfortable contours and understated colour palette.

Opening and closing the show with monochromatic looks, Cassin’s exploration of light and dark takes in a journey of neutral nuances in between, deftly balancing beige and brown tones with accents of soft blue and olive green, all playing out on a texturally diverse and tactile canvas of leather, linen and flashes of tweed. Accentuating Cassin’s appreciation of classic workwear silhouettes is a stunning linen jumpsuit, updated and elevated with the designer’s contemporary vision of form and functional details.
